We strongly recommend booking the bike in advance, especially during the peak season, to ensure the requested model is available in your size. Pre-booking also speeds up the pickup process, as your bike will be ready upon your arrival.

Yes, we have bikes available for rent. The stock shown on our website is updated in real-time.
How can I have the bike delivered to my hotel?
Once you add the bicycle to your shopping cart, you can select the hotel or apartment where you are staying. The system will automatically calculate the shipping cost based on your location. We offer delivery and pick-up services to all points in Tenerife. Check our website for more details.
How does the booking process work?
To reserve a bike, select the model you want from our bike section. Available bikes are sorted by category and size. If you're unsure of which size to choose, email us at

Once the booking is confirmed, you'll receive an email with the details. To collect your bike on the day of your reservation, present a valid ID or passport and a €100 deposit, which will be refunded to you at the end of the rental period.
Can I rent a bike for just one day?
Yes, you can rent a bike for one day. Pickup is at 9:00 am, and you must return it before 6:00 pm on the same day.
Is the bike rental valid for 24 hours?
No, a single day rental starts when our store opens at 09:00 am and ends before closing at 6:00 pm.
Do you offer bike delivery to hotels?
Yes, we offer delivery and pickup service for a minimum of 3 days of rental. The cost will depend on the number of bikes and the location of your hotel or accommodation. Please let us know where you are staying or plan to stay. Bicycle delivery starts from 10:00 AM, and the last pickup is at 5:00 PM.
What payment methods do you accept?
Reservation payments are made in advance through our secure payment gateway, and we accept credit cards, debit cards, and Paypal.
Do you have any kind of insurance?

Yes, it is possible to purchase insurance for €5 per day that covers up to €2000 in damage or theft. This insurance provides additional coverage to protect rental bikes against:
- Theft: Compensation is ensured in the event of total theft of the bicycle. It is necessary to file a complaint with the relevant authorities in the country where the incident occurred, referencing the Company and the policy number under which the goods are insured.
- Accidental Damage: Material damage to the bicycle as a result of any serious accidental cause that functionally affects the bicycle frame, excluding components, is covered.
In case something happens to the bike, the client has to pay us for the damages and the insurance will reimburse them afterwards.
How does the reservation cancellation policy work?
Advance reservations can be canceled at no cost up to 48 hours before the start of the rental period. Cancellations made up to 24 hours before the rental period will incur a 50% cancellation fee of the reservation cost. Cancellations made within 24 hours will not be refunded.
What should I bring if I rent a bike?
We recommend bringing your clothes, shoes, pedals, and helmet.
What accessories come with the bike?
All our rental bikes are equipped with two bottle cages, a pump, and a saddlebag containing a spare tire, tire levers, and a multitool, all included in the rental price.
Do you rent pedals?
For our rental bikes, we can provide Shimano SPD and SPD-SL, Look Keo, or flat pedals. If you use other pedal types, you can bring your own, and our mechanics will be happy to fit them on your rental bike.
Do you rent shoes and helmets?
Yes, we rent shoes and helmets as an additional service along with the rented bike.
Is helmet use mandatory?
Yes, in Spain, it's legally required to wear a helmet when cycling on roads outside the city center. You can rent a helmet for a one-time fee of €6.
What drivetrain do the road bikes have?
All our bikes come with a 2x11 or 2x12 drivetrain. You can choose in the options if you want a compact (50x34) or standard (52x36) chainring. With the gear ratios we set up on the bikes (most use an 11x30 or 11x32), you don't need a triple chainring.
Do you offer rental bikes with child seats?
Yes, we offer child seats, but only for city bikes.
Do you rent power meters?
Yes, we have bike models that already come with power meters installed. If you wish to bring your own crank power meter, we can only install it on certain bike models. Pedals can be installed on all bikes.
In what condition should I return the bike?
In what condition should I return the bike? Bike Experience Tenerife is committed to providing bikes in perfect condition and we expect customers to return them in the same state. If you return the bike in poor condition, you will be charged for the damaged parts according to the distributor's rates in Spain. Please remember to return all rented accessories and extras; otherwise, you will have to pay the full amount for the lost item.
What happens if I have an issue while I'm cycling?
We trust that all our customers can fix a puncture. For mechanical breakdowns, we offer an emergency service, and you can contact us at +34 922 088 188.
Do you offer on-route services?
Yes, we offer on-route services designed to carry out repairs due to wear or accidents. One of our mechanics can travel to any point to carry out the repair. The transport cost is €40 for a round trip, and spare parts are sold at the recommended retail price by the distributor in Spain. The mechanic's labor is free of charge.
What if I have a bike accident?
We hope you never have to experience this, but accidents can happen. If you don't have insurance coverage, you will be responsible for paying for any damage or broken part at the market price. The availability of spare parts will depend on whether they are in stock in our company or suppliers.
Where can I store my bike overnight?
You can leave your bike at our shop during our opening hours from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. If you prefer to take your bike to your hotel or apartment, ensure you have secure storage space. We recommend keeping your bike in your room overnight and not leaving it on the street. Check directly with your hotel to ensure they can store your bike securely.
Can I ride on bike lanes or should I use roads?
Cycling routes in Tenerife are mainly on open roads shared with other road users. We strongly advise all cyclists to follow traffic rules and cycle safely. Some roads may have designated bike lanes, but this isn't always the case.
